Tynemouth Outdoor Pool
At Ginger Marmalade, we want to do more than make great clothing from beautiful British fabrics. We also want to help community projects and restore the now weary artefacts of architecture in our towns and on our landscapes.
Through photo shoots, we hope to show various places across the UK that are in need of such attention.
In this post, we show Tynemouth Outdoor Pool. Built in the 1920’s, It was popular with locals and holiday makers for 50 years until the rise of package holidays in the 1970’s. The pool fell into disrepair and in the 1990’s, part of the surrounding poolside buildings had been demolished.
The Friends of Tynemouth Outdoor Pool are a charity that are looking to transform the site into a working pool once again with additional leisure facilities. To learn more, visit https://www.tynemouthoutdoorpool.com
